Many of you must have come across Mwaniki Mageria presenting a show on foods and culture on TV but didn’t know who exactly this gentleman with such an interesting taste was. Well, below is some background on Mwaniki, how he got into the world of media and has been there for over 20 years. Having studied Business and Communication at Daystar University. Mwaniki did a full season in sales and marketing in both the Motor Industry and later in Broadcast Media. He started a production company Balozi Productions in the early 2000s. And produced films like, “Niko Na Genge” and “My Daughters Keeper”. The Balozi productions however shut down after successfully running for over 15 years and that saw lots of talented Kenyan actors and actresses rise to fame. Mwaniki is also a marketing professional and has partnered with local producers to build the brand, RiverWood. This RiverWood Ensemble Filmmakers Association of independent producers can produce anything from 10 to 30 movies a month. He is the Secretary General of the Association of RiverWood.


While for many designers all they look forward to is to make you look good, Lenesia Brown chose to make it a bit different. Lenesia, who is the CEO of Berlenrosee, had a dream to merge her passion of fashion and positive vibes and took action. She therefore started the clothing brand Berlenrosee with an aim to inspire, uplift, motivate and definitely clothe her customers in awesome style. Berlenrosee works tirelessly to ensure that her product and brand is of the highest quality. She prides herself on being meticulous and it comes across in how she has established, promoted and launched Berlenrosee. She also intends to not only integrate fashion and style with inspiration and motivation, but to promote God’s goodness.


Venissa Bruce is an actress, activist and international model based in Canada with a Jamaican Nationality. Venissa has been engaged in several TV commercials as a model which included; Fitness Athletes, Aroura Housing, Power House Castings, etc. Apart from her modelling bit of her life, Venissa has also engaged in acting training for camera workshops as well as being an acting coach. Some of the movies that Venissa Bruce has been engaged in include; Turkey Drop, The Truth about Christmas, Christmas by the Books, etc. She also creates fun comedic content for her YouTube channel. As a model, some of the brands she has represented include; Adidas, Bush Balm, etc.


Cynthia is a journalist-turned-producer, passionate about how storytelling and targeted messaging creates business-changing content. As a producer, Cynthia does more than source for guests. She produced one of Kenya’s biggest breakfast show, “Jeff and Jalas”, before that, she had produced Mambo Mseto’s Willy M Tuva during her 9 years at Radio Citizen. She’s currently the head of radio Hot 96 and executive producer. She also has her own show, “The Morning After”. With more than 10 years in radio and inbound marketing experience, she’s gripped with innovating new ways of creating amazing content that’s absurdly useful and effective. There are some personalities who don’t really need an introduction. Jimmi Gathu is one of them. A Kenyan born in February 11th 1970 and raised in a historical estate called Kariokor Flats, named after the famous Carrier Corps. He’s a Radio and TV show host, actor, content creator and corporate MC. With a career spanning 30 years, Jimmi Gathu has graced our television screens, starting way back in the 90’s as he hosted that favorite kids show Club Kiboko on our screens. He also hosted music shows like Rhythmix, KassKass and Rap Em’. Jimmi Gathu has also hit our radio waves from way back in the year 1998 as a host on KBC’s breakfast show, Café Culture, a host and Programs Controller with programs like Capital FM’s hits not homework, Kiss 100FM’s People’s Parliament, Classic 105 FM’s Concept Creator, Maina and King’ang’i in the morning, Head of Radio HOT 96, Host on Nation FM’s Morning Drive Breakfast Show from 2015 to 2016.
